Our story began with founder Peter Biondic, who entered the industry as a machine operator. Driven by determination and a hands-on approach, Peter taught himself how to estimate and manage projects successfully. With a clear vision and a relentless work ethic, he purchased his first machine and operated it himself, laying the foundations for what would become Universal Civil Contracting.
Over the years, Peter’s leadership and dedication have seen the business grow steadily — evolving from a one-man operation into a thriving company with a team of 20+ skilled professionals and a fleet of more than 30 machines. Despite this growth, we’ve remained true to our core values: delivering quality civil construction with transparency, professionalism, and a personal touch.

An important part of contributing to this is our affiliation with Civil Contractions Foundation (CCF), Queensland’s peak civil construction association.
The CCF is an integral part of the civil construction industry and plays an integral role in advocating the interests of members to government bodies. The CCF is committed to working with contractors to understand the changes the industry is going through and we are proud of our association.
Our focus on relationships, technical excellence and promoting the civil construction sector within Queensland has led to Moreton Bay Council selecting us as their preferred civil contracting provider. We have successful held a position on the Civil Construction Panel for a number of years and we are committed to remaining there.
